Plymouth medium garden

This sloping Plymouth garden was a mis match of uneven levels and bits that had been added on over the years, with a hedge cutting of the rest of the garden. The client wanted a cohesive easy to manage space with easy access for an elderly relative. The space is divided into two levels. Using hardwood decking allows the ground level to match the house floor level allowing easy access into the garden. A lower level deck provides a good sized area for eating out and entertaining. Wide steps lead down onto the lawn, making the garden work as a whole. Hardwood decking will fade to a beautiful mellow silver or can be oiled to retain its colour. Unlike soft wood it does not hold water and allow slippery algae growth.
