Yelverton school house, Small garden
This garden is hemmed in by neighbouring properties. The brief was to provide an interesting relaxing place to sit out. The garden is accessed from a flight of steps so it also needed to provide a stimulating view from above.
Large pots planted with silver birch soften and screen the neighbouring wall whilst providing movement with vertical interest.
Random layed Delobole slate with camomile planted in the joints create an interesting patio with contrasting textures.
The cattle trough water feature combined with a wooden seat/display shelf provides a great focal point. For a more formal seating area a rich warm raised hardwood deck surrounded by lush woodland type planting was created.
